Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Awokela handles information for StudyBox, a mobile learning, content creation, profile, store, and synchronization app.

1. Information we collect

StudyBox may collect or store the following categories of information when you choose to use the relevant features:

• Account information: email address, display name, handle, authentication status, account status, and session information.
• Profile information: avatar, cover image, bio, public links, public qualifications, skill tags, badges, and visibility settings.
• Learning and content data: created questions, notes, flashcards, technical cards, explanations, images attached to content, shared content metadata, store listings, gift code metadata, sync status, and content versions.
• Study activity: goals, local learning progress, completion history, and statistics when stored or synced by the app.
• Purchase and entitlement information: StudyBox point balance, in-app subscription status, owned content identifiers, and Apple In-App Purchase transaction references needed to provide access. StudyBox does not collect credit card numbers.
• Support and safety information: support messages, reports, moderation status, and communication history when you contact us or report content.
• Technical information: device/app request metadata such as IP address, user agent, server logs, error logs, timestamps, and security events.

2. How we use information

• To create and authenticate accounts.
• To provide StudyBox features such as content creation, learning sessions, profiles, Store access, sync, gift codes, and support.
• To process app-only points, subscriptions, content entitlements, and Apple In-App Purchase related access.
• To operate public profiles and public/shared content only when the user or administrator makes content public or shared.
• To protect users, detect abuse, moderate content, respond to support requests, and maintain service reliability.
• To comply with legal, tax, platform, security, and App Store review requirements.

3. Public content and visibility

StudyBox separates public and private information. Public profile pages and Store pages may show display name, handle, avatar, cover image, bio, public links, public qualifications, public content, public Store items, badges, and creator reputation. Private qualifications, private certificate images, email address, password hashes, sessions, private learning history, private notes, private content, payment details, point balances, and internal admin notes are not shown publicly.

4. Payments and points

On iOS, subscriptions and point purchases are processed through Apple In-App Purchase. Apple may process payment information under Apple's own policies. StudyBox receives only information needed to confirm entitlement and provide app functionality. StudyBox points are app-only points and cannot be cashed out, withdrawn, transferred to other users, exchanged for external points, exchanged for cryptocurrency, or moved to external services.

5. Sharing with third parties

Awokela does not sell personal information and does not use StudyBox data for third-party advertising or cross-app tracking. Information may be shared only when necessary with infrastructure providers, Apple for in-app purchase operation, legal or safety authorities when required, or with other users when you intentionally publish or share content.

6. Data retention

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the app, maintain security, comply with law, resolve disputes, and enforce terms. Some records may remain in backups or audit logs for a limited period. Deleted Store content may remain as a deletion event or audit record so that other devices stop displaying it.

7. User choices and deletion requests

You can change public profile fields and content visibility in StudyBox. You may request account assistance, data access, correction, or deletion by contacting support@awokela.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

8. Security

StudyBox uses account authentication, password hashing, access controls, and server-side authorization checks. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect user information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, and alteration.

9. Children

StudyBox is intended for general learning use and is not directed to children under the age where parental consent is required by applicable law. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate consent, contact us.

10. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy as StudyBox changes. The effective date will be updated when material changes are made.
